Otech, Remedy ink deal to boost AI-powered business solutions

Muscat: Otech, the technology arm of Omantel, has signed a cooperation agreement with Remedy to launch an advanced corporate platform supporting strategic planning and performance management through artificial intelligence technologies.

The partnership forms part of Otech's efforts to adopt emerging technologies, strengthen Oman’s national innovation ecosystem and support local startups in transforming their innovations into institutional solutions.

Under the agreement, Otech will develop and implement the “Rise Talent” platform within its corporate system. The platform will provide capabilities covering strategic goal alignment, talent management, employee experience and human resources.

Its functions will include competency management, recruitment, learning and development, performance management and career planning, in addition to AI-supported human resources analytics and digital self-service tools.

Maqbool bin Salim Al Wohaibi, acting CEO of Otech, said the partnership reflects the company’s commitment to supporting innovation and helping emerging technology companies transform their ideas into practical institutional applications.

He stressed that developing a competitive digital economy requires an integrated environment that brings together local innovation, technical expertise and the real needs of institutions.

He added that Otech is working to connect innovators and startups with institutional opportunities and provide them with capabilities to develop scalable solutions for the Omani market and international markets. The company is also continuing to invest in advanced technologies to improve operational efficiency and strengthen its institutional capabilities.

Turki bin Abdul Hafeez Al Balushi, Co-founder of Remedy, said the partnership would allow the company’s solutions to move from the development stage into real-world institutional applications, while benefiting from Otech’s technical expertise in understanding corporate requirements.

He said Remedy focuses on developing AI-powered tools that connect corporate strategies with implementation, strengthen performance management and provide real-time insights to help leaders and employees make more effective decisions.

The collaboration is expected to contribute to the development of Oman’s digital economy, while creating new opportunities for local technology companies to scale their solutions and meet the evolving needs of businesses.
