Muscat--- Oman Games and eSports Committee has organized a two-day e-sports championship codenamed “Al Qima” (summit), which concluded today. The championship saw the participation of 16 top players from different governorates of the Sultanate of Oman.
The tournament aimed to engage national talents in the field of esports and highlight the growing trend of the sport in Oman.
Lou'ay Al Saadi won first place in the championship and Saleh Al Ghasani bagged the second award. Third place went to Fahd Al Kindi.
The closing ceremony was held under the auspices of Hisham bin Juma Al Sinani, Director General of Sportswelfar and Development at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth.
Al Sinani felicitated the participants and commended the efforts made in organizing the tournament, which, he said, “reflects growing keenness in developing the sector of e-sports and empowering Omani talents.”
The championship, which was attended by media representatives, embodied the spirit of sportsmanship and excellence.
