Muscat: Indian External Affairs Minister (EAM) Dr. S. Jaishankar will pay an official visit to the Sultanate of Oman from 9–10 July 2026. The visit follows his visits to Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait from 5–9 July 2026.

This may also include the road map for the implementation of the India–Oman Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), which entered into force on 1 June 2026," a statement by the Indian Ministry of External Affairs said.

The two Ministers will also exchange views on regional and international developments of mutual interest.

"Following his visit to Oman, the EAM will travel to New York to launch, on 13 July 2026, India's official campaign for election to the United Nations Security Council for the 2028–29 term. He will thereafter visit Brussels on 14–15 July 2026 to participate in the 3rd India–EU Trade and Technology Council (TTC) Meeting and hold discussions with his counterparts from the European Union and Belgium," the statement further said.

The visit is expected to further strengthen the India–Oman Strategic Partnership and reinforce the longstanding friendship and multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.
