Muscat: The Embassy of India in Muscat has said it is closely monitoring a maritime incident involving a vessel off the coast of Oman and is maintaining contact with local authorities as efforts continue to assess the situation.

In a statement posted on social media on Tuesday, the embassy said it had learned of the incident and was actively following developments.

"We have learnt of an incident involving a vessel off the coast of Oman. We are closely monitoring the situation and in close touch with the local authorities. We shall update soon," the embassy said.
