Military musical performances competition concludes

Muscat: The Royal Guard of Oman (RGO) concluded today the 2026 military musical performances competition held between musical bands.

The event was held under the auspices of Maj. Gen Salim Ali Al Hosni, Commander of the RGO.

The final day events, which took place at the Command of the Royal Guard of Oman, featured a visual presentation reviewing the various stages of the competition, along with musical performances delivered by several RGO musical bands.

At the conclusion of the event, the Commander of the Royal Guard of Oman, honored the bands that achieved top positions in the various categories.

The organization of this competition is part of the Royal Guard of Oman's training plan aimed at elevating the efficiency of its personnel, honing their musical skills, and developing their technical capabilities. These efforts are designed to enhance their readiness for participation in festivals and musical performances.
