44 air sorties conducted, 404 rescued amid rains in Oman

Muscat– The Search and Rescue Sector of the National Emergency Management Committee reported that a total of 44 sorties have been carried out since the onset of the weather system “Depression Al-Masarat.”

This includes 38 sorties by the Royal Oman Police Air Wing and 6 by the Royal Air Force of Oman, resulting in 58 rescue operations and 6 medical evacuations.

The sector also stated that the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority responded to 254 reports, during which 404 individuals were rescued and evacuated.

The National Emergency Management Committee reaffirmed its commitment to continuously monitoring the situation to ensure the safety of citizens and residents amid the ongoing weather conditions.
