Felix Pharmaceuticals obtains Gulf Good Manufacturing Practices certification

Salala– Felix Pharmaceutical Industries has obtained the GCC Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) certification for its facility specialising in solid drug manufacturing in the Salalah Free Zone in the Sultanate of Oman, marking a milestone that reflects the company’s commitment to the highest standards of quality and safety in the pharmaceutical industry.

This Gulf accreditation confirms the facility’s compliance with the regulatory standards adopted in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, enhancing its ability to produce high-quality medicines in line with global best practices and enabling it to expand the supply of pharmaceutical products to regional markets.

Dr. Waseem Hamad, CEO of Felix Pharmaceutical Industries, said obtaining the certificate represents an important step toward strengthening the region’s pharmaceutical security system and enhancing industrial capabilities in the pharmaceutical sector through an advanced manufacturing facility that meets approved Gulf technical and regulatory requirements.

He added in a statement to the Oman News Agency that the achievement reinforces the position of the Salalah Free Zone as an industrial and logistics hub attracting investments in advanced industries, while highlighting the growing role of Oman in supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing and developing pharmaceutical supply chains at the regional level.

The CEO affirmed the company’s commitment to further developing its production capabilities and expanding its presence in regional markets, contributing to supporting the healthcare sector in GCC countries and beyond.
