CBSE postpones March 2 board exams in Oman, Middle East

Muscat: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has postponed Class X and Class XII board examinations scheduled for March 2, 2026, in Oman and other Middle East countries due to the current situation in parts of the region.

According to a circular dated March 1, the decision applies to CBSE-affiliated schools in Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. The board said new examination dates will be announced later. 

In Oman, more than 5,000 students are appearing for the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations.

CBSE said it will review the situation on March 3 and take appropriate decisions regarding examinations scheduled from March 5 onwards. 

Students have been advised to stay in touch with their schools for updates and follow official announcements.
