
Al Hamra: New housing units were distributed today to citizens from the village of Manda’a in Jabal Shams area in the Wilayat of Al Hamra, Al Dakhiliyah Governorate. The project reflects the government’s keenness to improve the quality of life of Omani citizens.
Sheikh Hilal bin Said Al Hajri, Governor of Al Dakhiliyah, said that such projects embody ongoing interest in consolidating pillars of social development in different wilayats of the governorate.
The project was implemented by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning. It comprises 10 integrated housing units that boast top safety standards and stand in harmony with the mountainous nature of the Al Dakhiliyah Governorate.
Rahab Salim Al Miyahi, Director General of Social Housing and Projects at the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, said that the Ministry accords special attention to communities that inhabit mountainous areas and remote locations. Accordingly, the Ministry implements housing projects that cater to the needs of local communities and contribute to citizens’ social welfare and stability, Rahab added.
She pointed out that Manda’a Village Housing Project demonstrates an integrated planning approach based on balanced development in the wilayats and governorates of the Sultanate of Oman.
