Oman, Tunisia seek to deepen economic partnership across various sectors

Tunis: President Kais Saied of the Republic of Tunisia, received Qais Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, at the Carthage Palace in the Tunisian capital. The meeting took place in the context of the Minister’s participation in the Omani-Tunisian Economic Forum.

During the meeting, the Minister conveyed the greetings of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and his best wishes of continuous good health and happiness to the Tunisian President. His Majesty also wished the people of Tunisia further progress and prosperity.

In turn, the Tunisian President asked the Minister to convey his greetings and appreciation to His Majesty the Sultan. The Tunisian President also wished the Omani people further development and advancement.

During the meeting, emphasis was placed on the importance of deepening the economic partnership between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Tunisia across various sectors, and working to activate joint initiatives that would enhance trade exchange and expand investment horizons, in addition to discussing ways to develop economic, investment, and industrial cooperation between the two countries.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Hilal Abdullah Al Sinani, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Republic of Tunisia, and Rashid Amer Al Muselhi, First Deputy Chairman of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Board.
