Two Asian nationals arrested for extorting money from fellow expat

Muscat: North Al Batinah Governorate Police Command arrested two individuals of Asian nationality for luring a fellow expatriate of the same nationality and detaining him at their residence in the Wilayat of Saham.

They contacted his family in their home country to force them to pay a sum of money for his release, claiming that the victim owed them this amount. Legal procedures are being completed against them.
