Foreign Minister meets President of the Comoros

Muscat: As part of the celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of Angola’s national independence, which are being attended by numerous leaders and senior officials from around the world, Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi met with President Azali Assoumani of the Union of the Comoros in the Angolan capital, Luanda.

The Minister conveyed to President Assoumani the greetings of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tari , along with his best wishes for his good health and happiness, and his best wishes for continued progress and prosperity for the brotherly people of the Comoros.

President Assoumani asked the Minister to convey his greetings and kind wishes to His Majesty, praising the strong ties of cooperation and the unique cultural bonds between the two brotherly countries. He expressed his deep appreciation for Oman’s continued support to the Comoros and his aspiration to further develop cooperation in ways that serve the interests of the two nations and their peoples.

The meeting was attended by officials from both countries.
