
Muscat: The Middle East LPG Summit and Expo 2025 began on Monday at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre. The event is hosted by the Sultanate of Oman and organised by the World Liquid Gas Association in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion.
The two-day event aims to discuss the future of the Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) industry and enhance global cooperation in the energy field.
This is achieved by showcasing the latest innovations, technologies, and solutions related to the energy transition, industrial safety, women's empowerment, digital transformation, and artificial intelligence.
The opening of the Summit and Expo was held under the auspices of Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion.
The Summit is attended by approximately 2,000 experts and specialists from 30 countries, alongside 80 international companies showcasing the latest advancements in the LPG industry across technology, safety systems, and supply chains.
The event witnessed the launch of the first chapter of the Women's Empowerment Programme in the LPG sector in the Middle East, which reinforces the Sultanate of Oman's efforts to support women's participation in the energy and industry sector.
The Summit programme included a number of panel discussions and workshops on Autogas, industrial safety, women's empowerment in the energy sector, and the exchange of global expertise. The event also featured bilateral meetings between government representatives and international companies to discuss opportunities for cooperation and investment.
