Muscat: The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (MTCIT) announced the completion of 25 digital initiatives and projects — achieving 100 percent implementation — out of a total of 36 projects targeted under the National Digital Transformation Programme (Tahawul).
The Ministry stated that work is ongoing to complete the remaining 11 projects and initiatives, which have reached an 80 percent completion rate.
This progress, it said, reflects Oman’s ambitious drive towards full digitalisation of government services, streamlining procedures, enhancing e-government efficiency, and accelerating service delivery in line with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040.
The fully completed projects include the Unified Government Services Portal and the Unified Naqal (Mobile) Application, which serve as a single digital gateway providing convenient access to government services without the need to navigate multiple platforms.
Additionally, the Strategic Partnership Programme for Government Digital Transformation Projects has been implemented, promoting collaboration between the public and private sectors to accelerate institutional digital transformation.
Among the major achievements is the National Records Centre Project, which connects databases across various entities, ensuring the quality and consistency of government records and supporting effective change management strategies.

Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Kharousi, Director General of Digital Transformation and Sectoral Empowerment at MTCIT, said that the completion of these initiatives marks a major milestone in Oman’s digital government journey and demonstrates the commitment of the Tahawul Programme to enhancing service quality and government efficiency.
He added that by the end of May 2025, the National Digital Transformation Programme had improved government performance by 60 percent, streamlined 381 joint services, and designed 16 integrated beneficiary journeys.
