Eight Asian nationals held for entering Oman illegally

Muscat: The Coast Guard, led by the Musandam Governorate Police, arrested eight Asian nationals on a boat off the coast of Khasab while attempting to enter the country illegally. Legal action is being taken against them.

Meanwhile, the Police Command in South Al Batinah Governorate apprehended a vehicle driver in the Wilayat of Rustaq for transporting 15 infiltrators of African nationality by concealing them from security authorities and facilitate their transport to work sites.

This act constitutes a violation of the law and contradicts social responsibility in maintaining public order, as it clearly breaches the Labour Law and the Foreigners' Residence Law.

Legal procedures are being completed against them.
