Muscat: Muscat Media Group (MMG), in collaboration with Gulf Leaders Circle, hosted the inaugural Shabiba Jawa’iz Basma 2025 at the St. Regis Al Mouj Muscat Resort, celebrating exceptional contributions to Oman’s social, environmental and economic well-being.
The event was held under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Eng. Ibrahim bin Saeed bin Khalaf Al-Kharousi, Undersecretary for Heritage in the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, and attended by senior government officials, private sector leaders and representatives of society.
In his welcome address, Mohamed Essa Al Zadjali, Chairman of Muscat Media Group, highlighted the vision of the awards: “The Shabiba Jawa’iz Basma Awards are not merely a ceremony to honour individuals and institutions; they are a platform to recognize true giving that has transformed ideas into influential projects and translated values into effective initiatives.
“These achievements embody Oman Vision 2040, and each winner is a role model whose ‘fingerprint’ will remain a source of inspiration for generations to
come.”
The evening featured a keynote speech by Saud Al Jabri, In-Country Value Development Manager at Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), who reflected on PDO’s journey in local value creation and underscored the importance of collective responsibility.
He stated that in the past, success was measured by profit margins but today, true success is measured by our ability to improve lives, create opportunities for youth, and protect the environment for future generations. He further added that honoring the winners is not only a celebration of their achievements, but an inspiration for all of us to continue working for a stronger and more sustainable Oman.
The Shabiba Jawa’iz Basma Awards 2025 honoured 28 winners across diverse categories, reflecting the breadth of Oman’s social impact landscape.
The event was supported by Al Mouj, Bahar and Floward.
