Muscat: In pursuit of its mission to cultivate the next generation of Omani leaders, the Royal Academy of Management (RAM) launched the Bawsala Fellowship Programme.
This flagship initiative is designed to nurture promising young Omanis by equipping them with the leadership skills, knowledge, and networks deemed necessary to assume an active role in shaping the nation’s future.
Developed in partnership with the Bawsala team of Omani university students, the Bawsala Fellowship Programme reflects RAM’s commitment to contributing to meaningful youth engagement and its alignment with the priorities of Oman Vision 2040, which places youth empowerment at its very heart.
A total of twenty young Omani individuals, aged between 19 and 25, will be competitively selected to participate in the programme. They will be drawn from a diverse pool of students demonstrating the ambition and capability to contribute meaningfully to Oman’s national development.
The learning journey will comprise three integrated tracks, which together lay the foundations of leadership for young Omanis.
The first track,Mentorship and Institutional Exposure, will connect participants with senior leaders through one-to-one mentorship sessions and include visits to leading Omani institutions, allowing them to observe leadership in action.
The second track,Leadership Development, will feature intensive workshops led by experts, inspirational dialogues, and team-based exercises, all designed to strengthen leadership competencies and instil a strong sense of national responsibility. The third track,Applied Project Work, will challenge participants to conduct an analytical case study addressing a real-world issue, during which they will develop innovative solutions, supported by structured coaching and continuous feedback.
