Oman Human Rights Commission highlights its mandate and operations with UN delegation

Muscat: The Oman Human Rights Commission (OHRC) on Sunday highlighted its operational mechanisms, structure and mandate to a visiting delegation from the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR).

This took place during the meeting between Dr. Rashid Hamad Al Balushi, Chairman of the Oman Human Rights Committee, with ‏Johnny Baryougar White‏, Human Rights Officer at the National Institutions and Regional Mechanisms Section of the OHCHR and Cynthia Radert, Secretary of the Sub-Committee on Accreditation of the OHCHR.

Discussions focused on strengthening human rights protection mechanisms and fostering partnerships between the OHRC and various national institutions in the field of human rights.
