Muscat: Represented by the National Autism Centre, the Ministry of Social Development on Sunday organised the programme of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), which serves families that have members suffering autism spectrum disorder cases enrolled at the centre.
The two-week programme, which also addresses special education instructors from the Ministry of Education, seeks to provide target families with basic knowledge and skills necessary for applying ABA learning principles and strategies.
The activities of the programme cover means of modifying and analysing behaviour and enabling specialists to manage rehabilitation sessions.
They also include means of providing autistic persons with necessary skills, reducing learning obstacles and accelerating the realisation of the goals of the Individual Educational Plan.
