Muscat: On the first day of the Hijri New Year, the Oman Across Ages Museum attracted 7,708 visitors from various governorates of the Sultanate of Oman.
Nasser bin Saeed Al Riyami, Head of Visitor Services Department at Oman Across Ages Museum, explained that measures were undertaken to facilitate the movement of the unexpected high number of visitors.
The measures included assigning an additional number of employees to facilitate the movement of visitors and the services provided to them, answering inquiries and directing them inside the museum exhibition halls, and explaining the mechanism of work of interactive devices.
The museum administration is working to facilitate the procedures for booking tickets to enter the museum exhibition halls for visitors. Through the development of the ticketing platform, which will soon be available to the public, self-service ticketing machines will also be added, which would add a unique experience to museum visitors.
It is worth noting that the museum exhibition halls receive visitors from Saturday to Thursday from 9am until 5pm, and on Friday from 9:30 in the afternoon until 7 pm.
