Oman, Korea pledge to boost joint cooperation

Muscat: To mark the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations (since 1973), the Sultanate and the Republic of Korea pledged to take up their joint cooperation into wider spheres of partnership.

This was announced during a round of official talks held by the two sides at the Foreign Ministry on Tuesday.

The Omani side was chaired by Sheikh Khalifa Ali Al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Diplomatic Affairs, while the Korean side was chaired by Second Vice Foreign Minister Choi Jong-moon.

The session reviewed the bilateral cooperation between the two friendly countries and exchanged views on regional and international issues of common concern.

It was attended by a number of officials from both sides.
