Muscat: Al Nahdha recorded a 40-run victory over Renaissance in a Khimji Ramdas-sponsored Senior Division Knockout match played at the Municipality Ground II during the afternoon session on Friday. Batting first, Al Nahdha scored 195 for the loss off eight wickets in 20 overs, largely thanks to Imran Nasir's 48. In reply, Renaissance were bowled out for 155 in 19 overs. Ameen Khan top scored with 27. Mustaq Malik and Arif Hussain claimed three wickets. In reply, Powertech scored 139 for one in 16.2 overs. Ramkumar and Prabhakaran scored an unbeaten 59 and 63 respectively. Meanwhile, Indian Social Club also recorded a victory in the Senior Division Knockout Tournament when they defeated MDC Enhance Eagles by 62 runs. Batting first, ISC scored 188 for two of 20 overs with Amandeep Singh and Malik Asher scoring with 69 and 61 not out respectively. In reply, MDC Enhance Eagles were bowled out for 126 in 15.5 overs. Sameer Othman and Jaspreet Singh claimed three wickets each for NYDT. In reply, NYDT raced to 72 for one in 8.1 overs. Mohammed Ali top scored with 35 runs.
