Driver arrested by Royal Oman Police

Muscat: The driver of a vehicle has been arrested on charges of disturbing and inconveniencing people. Another person, an expat, was arrested for stealing.

Royal Oman Police (ROP) said in a statement online: "North Al Sharqiyah governorate Police Command seized the driver of a vehicle after a video was circulated in which he, with the intent of disturbing people, ignited fire using his vehicle's exhaust."

In another case, the General Directorate of Criminal Investigations arrested a person of Arab nationality for theft.

ROP added: "Legal actions have been taken against the accused."
