Al Obidani’s first encounter with organising triathlons was at a mini-triathlon for kids held at Al Hail Beach at Wilayat Al Seeb in 2013, which was continued for several years including 2014 and 2015 which were followed by a full triathlon race organised at Al Mussanah in 2016 with the support of a number of Bahraini triathlon event specialists which in turn lead Al Obidani to be invited to be part of the prestigious team for organising triathlons across the region.
“I really harnessed plenty of knowledge and experience since joining the specialist team which in turn I will make ensure is implemented here at our own race” stated Al Obidani.
“Our goal was to bring this international sporting event to our country, and in succeeding to do so, we will make the necessary preparations to make sure that it is organised with the highest standards of the Ironman International brand and with Omani leadership,” he added.
