Muscat: Celebrity chef Clayton Donovan is in Oman, bringing native Australian ingredients and indigenous dishes for the first time in the Sultanate.
Australia’s only hatted indigenous chef said he is all set to cook at the event ‘Taste of Australia’, on April 22 at The Grand Hyatt Muscat, hosted by the Australian Business Group Oman (ABGO).
Talking to the Times of Oman, Donovan said he is thrilled to be invited to cook in Oman and looks forward to introducing not only the known Australian produce in Oman, but also to incorporate more culinary adventures ingredients too. The event is full packed and sold out already, according to organisers.
This evening is ABGO highlight event for the year, bringing together ABGO members, their guests, and their sponsors- Bank of Beirut, Victorian Government Business Office, Qantas, Worley Parsons, Addleshaw Goddard.
The star of Wild Kitchen currently showing on ABC, is known for cooking at corporate functions and public and private events.
Donovan launched Janning Tree restaurant in Australia and is now focusing his attention on pop-up restaurants and travelling.
