Muscat: Demand in the hospitality industry in Oman is witnessing a remarkable growth, said the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Hospitality Management Holdings (HMH).
“Our research indicates that there has been an increase in demand in the hospitality industry in the Omani market,” CEO Laurent A Voivenel told the Times of Oman on the sidelines of the opening of their new 4-star hotel Coral Muscat Hotel and Apartments.
“Oman is considered as one of the best tourist destinations in the world and the latest statistics about airline traffic to Oman shows that there is a significant rise on a year-on-year basis,” Voivenel said.
“We are confident that the Coral Muscat Hotel and Apartments will add tremendous value to our growing presence in Oman while strengthening our international portfolio,” he added.
HMH is a fully integrated hotel management company founded in Dubai in 2003.
The Coral Muscat Hotel and Apartments were officially inaugurated under the patronage of His Highness Sayyid Tarik bin Shabib bin Taimur Al Said.
Speaking about the operation, Voivenel said, “We plan to cater to business travellers, corporate and the government sector for long and short stays.”
“We are also looking for leisure travellers as we are in the middle of the business district, as well as close to many tourist spot in Muscat,” he added.
According to him, the Coral Muscat Hotel and Apartments will be different from other competitors.
“We will be providing a high standard of services and facilities to the guests and we have the largest rooms in the city; so this will be one of our main attractions,” Voivenel said.
“Our hotel has an excellent location in the heart of Qurum, a mere 20 minutes drive from the international airport, which is also close to the diplomatic and commercial city centre,” he added.
“We have a very professional team to take care of our guests and all this combines our strength,” Voivenel asserted.
Speaking about their future projects in Oman, the CEO of HMH said, “We have already signed a contract for the Corp Al Muzn hotel, which is expected to be opened in the first quarter of 2018.”
“We are proud to debut our brands in the country and we are eager to capitalise on the favourable market conditions in Oman,” Voivenel added.
According to him, Oman is a key development market for HMH in keeping with the group’s strategy to prioritise expansion in the Gulf Cooperation Council region.
