MUSCAT: With a renewed vigour, optimum supremacy and under the constant guidance of highly experienced Olympic Coaching Team, Nautilus swimmers Pooja Suresh , Nandhitha Rajesh, Vaishnavi, Aditi Boopalakrishnan, Rajvardhan Jadhav, Aditya Bose and Lavya Gohil’s raised the bar in their performance at the CBSE Nationals, Ranchi, India, held from November 22 to 26.
It is indisputable that the quest for excellence has never diminished even a bit as the 17 year old Pooja Suresh flies back home with 2 gold medals in 50m breaststroke and Butterfly, 2 silver medals in 50 and 100 freestyle, 3 bronze medals in 200 IM, 4x100 Freestyle relay and 4x100 medley relay.
The 12th grader who will be appearing for her Board Exams has no excuse to miss her training regime. “ I went through intense training, twice a day, especially through the month of October and November, which was amazing”, she says.
When asked about her winning experience, “I didn’t know how to show my excitement while receiving these 7 medals at the Nationals” added a down-to-earth Pooja, the first Indian swimmer from Oman.
Being a part of the relay team with Pooja, Vaishnavi (13) bagged 2 bronze medals in the 4x100 freestyle relay and 4x100 medley relay.
Nanditha (12) another budding star of Nautilus entered CBSE Nationals for the first time, qualified for the finals and placed 4th in 50m breaststroke and 7th in 100m breaststroke in the under 14 category. Straight from the CBSE Nationals, Nanditha headed to the State meet held in Chennai.
Rajvardhan (14) qualified for finals in 3 events in the under 19 category. He placed 6th in both 50m butterfly and 100m freestyle.
Lavya Gohil (10) came 6th in 4x50m freestyle relay and 7th in 4x50m medley relay. He participated in 3 individual events with remarkable improvement in their timings.
Aditi (12) qualified for finals and acquired 7th position in 50m freestyle and 8th position in 100m freestyle.
Aditya Bose (13) stood 9th in both 50 and 100m breaststroke with great improvement in his timings.
Nautilus Swimming Team’s aim is to shape such young swimmers to achieve actionable growth in their swimming career and making their sporting dream, a reality.
