MUSCAT: The Oman Squash Open 2018 will be held at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex from December 6 to 8 under the auspices of the Ministry of Sports Affairs.
A total of 40 players from different nationalities including India and Pakistan will take part in the tournament.
The first four rounds will be played in the best-of-three format while the knockout stages beginning from the quarterfinals will be played in the best-of-five format.
The champion will receive a cash award of OMR250. The runner-up will take home OMR200 while the third-placed player will receive OMR150.
Besides the cash awards, the top three players will also receive trophies and certificates from the ministry.
Oman will be represented by Tahir Al Barwani and Mohammad Al Haddad, while Othman Khwaja and Yusuf Khan will represent Pakistan. Chris from the United Kingdom will be another player to watch out for.
