MUSCAT: After two successful seasons Al Assalah Towers Al Ghubrah held their third edition of the Al Assalah Badminton League for the residents during the weekend.
Over a 100 badminton enthusiasts took part in the Men’s and Women’s Singles, Mixed Doubles, Grey Beard and Junior Singles categories for Under-11 Boys and Girls and Under-15 Boys and Girls tournament held at the Royal Hospital Health Club Sports Hall.
The atmosphere was electrifying as the players exhibited their talents with lots of zeal and confidence, and displayed true grit of sportsmanship, competitive spirit despite cutting across all age groups and gender. Highest level of camaraderie and team work was on display throughout the tournament.
The winners and runners were felicitated with trophies and certificates during the prize distribution ceremony.
The organisers thanked the sponsors, volunteers, participants for their support.
