ROP helps expats stranded at Oman border

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) helped 52 passengers who were stranded at the Hafeet border, police officials announced on Twitter.

According to ROP, the passengers were on their way to Salalah, Dhofar when the bus carrying them broke down.

ROP’s online statement read, “Police guards in Hafeet port provided assistance to a bus carrying 52 passengers of Gulf nationality, which stopped near the port. [The passengers] included children and women. [Police were there] until the bus was repaired.”

Once the repairs were carried, passengers continued their journey to Dhofar, authorities added.
