Whether it is a meal made in a hurry or one done on a lazed weekend, a plate of sphagetti is always welcome. But do you know that spaghetti can be combined with almost anything to make into one delicious dish? For all the spaghetti lovers, here are some different ways of making it. Find your favourite version.
Soup
Take 4 potatoes and one onion, halved, and cook in chicken broth until tender. In a separate wok take ground beef and brown it and add to the potatoes and onion. Add 1 cut tomato and a bunch of spaghetti to the pot. Cook until spaghetti is tender. Mix in a tsp of red pepper and 1tsp of chilli powder. Simmer. Once its done stir in some cheese before serving.
Salad
Boil spaghetti and rinse in cold water. Add 1 chopped onion, 2 cucumbers, green pepper, tomatoes, sliced olives, and Italian dressing. Combine all and keep it in the fridge for about half an hour. Serve chilled.
Curry
Take 1 onion and chop it into bite size pieces. Sauté the chopped onion in butter until soft. Add 2tsp curry powder and 3 1/2 cups chicken broth to the pot and bring to boil. Take a bunch of spaghetti and add to the broth and cook till done. Stir in 1 diced green pepper and 2tbsp of sliced green olives. Simmer for about 5 minutes uncovered till the liquid is absorbed. This can be an ideal side dish for any meal.
Pie
Cook spaghetti till done and drain the water. Combine it with butter and keep aside. Take 4 eggs in a bowl and beat with 1tsp sugar and 1tsp vanilla. Add the spaghetti and butter mixture. Blend well in the mixer. Pour this mixture into a greased pan and bake at 180 degrees C for around 40 minutes or until lightly browned and crusty on top. Serve at room temperature.
Fritters
Coarsely chop half done spaghetti. Take 2 onions and cut into thin slices. In a bowl mix 2 eggs, 1tbsp corn flour, salt, pepper and 1 cup of water. Stir in the chopped spaghetti, onions until coated. In a large skillet heat oil until very hot. Take a spoonful of the batter and drop in the oil. Fry till they are brown on both the sides. Drain the oil and serve with any dip of your [email protected]
