Muscat: Oman Air, the national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman, is set to launch its new daily route between Muscat and Istanbul, Turkey, on Friday. The inaugural flight will depart Muscat International Airport at 20:10.
A Boeing 737-800 will be used to operate the new route, with the flight time taking 5 hours and 25 minutes. Flight WY163 will depart Muscat International Airport daily at 20:10, arriving at Istanbul Ataturk International Airport at 00:25. The return flight WY164 will depart Istanbul at 01:25, arriving in Muscat at 07:25.
The new route between Oman and Turkey will strengthen existing relations between the two countries. Oman Air is currently undergoing a fleet and network expansion programme, which will see the airline operate up to 66 aircraft to a total of 60 destinations by 2022. The airline continues to be recognised for its award winning on-board experience, having received numerous industry accolades to add to its growing collection.
