Muscat: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared their results on Saturday, sparking jubilation from Indian schools in Oman, who claim that their performances have been above par as usual.
Indian School Muscat (ISM) expressed delight at the performance of its students. Aliva Das and Sneha Sarkar from ISM stood first for Oman in the science and humanities streams, scoring 98.6 per cent and 96.4 per cent respectively.
Das, a science student, scored an aggregate of 98.6 per cent and topped for all streams at ISM. She secured 100 per cent marks in mathematics and chemistry, and scored 99 per cent in physics. In the commerce stream, Shravani Garmella stood first, scoring 95.6 per cent. In the humanities stream, Sarkar topped with 96.4 per cent.
As many as nine students at ISM scored perfect marks in at least one subject each.
ISG pleased
Indian School Ghubra (ISG) too had reason to celebrate as 84 per cent of all the students scored over 80 per cent in the science stream, while 54 per cent scored more than 80 per cent in the commerce stream.
K S Suraaj with 97.2 per cent topped the science stream at ISG, who also bagged a perfect score in mathematics. In the commerce stream, Vidhika Paresh Shah secured the top spot with 94.8 per cent.
All’s well, says ISD
Indian School Darsait (ISD) expressed satisfaction, citing the fact that all of its students had passed the class XII examination.
Drishti Jitendra Panchal stood first in the science stream at ISD with 94 per cent. In the commerce stream, Samuel Jose topped with 88.6 per cent.
Principal of ISD Sridevi P Thashnath congratulated the students, parents and teachers on this accomplishment.
ISWK gives thumbs up
Indian School Wadi Kabir (ISWK) also boasted of a good result. Vaidehee Thakur topped the science stream with an aggregate of 96.8 per cent at the school.
Jobin Jacob Kannannuparampil stood first in the commerce stream, scoring 96.4 per cent. Informatics practices at the school saw seven students scoring 100 marks and thus setting a record.
IS-Muladha hails result
Indian School Muladha also boasted of a perfect passing record, recording no failures.
Saif Alam topped the science stream at the school, scoring 94.6 per cent. In the commerce stream, Mohsina Firdous K secured the first position with an aggregate of 93.4 per cent.
Dr C M Najeeb, Vice-Chairman-Board of Directors, Indian Schools in Oman and Director in charge of Indian School Muladha; President of the School Management Committee Siddique Hassan; and Principal S I Shareef congratulated the students for bringing laurels to the school and acclaimed the team of teachers for their hard work and dedication.
Congratulations pour in
The robust performance of the Indian schools merited praise from several quarters.
“A very big congratulations to all those concerned, especially the principals of the schools and their hardworking teachers,” Dr. Syed Ahsan Jamil, Chair-academic sub committee Indian School Seeb (ISS), said.
“We all deserve a big pat on the back, especially the students, the academic sub-committee team led by Jamil and ably supported by Brown, Srini, CTR and all our teachers and support staff. Let us await the class X results with similar optimism in next few days,” Dr Debashish, President of School Management Committee (SMC), Indian School Seeb (ISS), remarked.
Indian School Sohar
Indian School Sohar has yet again excelled with a 100 per cent pass rate in the CBSE examination. All the 98 students who took the examination this year, 78 in the Science stream and 20 in the Commerce stream were successful - achieving a 100 per cent success for the school. Every single one of them scored first division marks.
Indian School Al Maabela
The CBSE Class XII results brought cheer to Indian School Al Maabela (ISAM).
In the first batch of Class XII Science Stream, 21 students appeared for the exam this year. Ms. Aashna Fareen scored 84.2 per cent marks and became the topper of the school. Pavithra Senthilvel M stood second with 81 per cent marks and Afrad Noorudheen scored 78.6 per cent to secure third position. Seven students have secured distinction (above 75 per cent).
