Oman to take part in health meet

Muscat: The Sultanate represented by the Ministry of Health (MoH) will take part in the 71st World Health Assembly (WHA71) meetings, which will be held from Monday in Geneva, Switzerland.
The Sultanate’s delegation will be led by Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Al Saidi, Minister of Health.
The WHA71 agenda will discuss the report of the Executive Board on its 141st and 142nd sessions and its special session on the draft thirteenth general programme of work, 2019-2023, report of main committees, as well as address several strategic priority matters along with management and legal matters.
The meeting will also include side events that touch upon the global action on patients safety for achieving effective Universal Health Coverage – Oman, the Geneva Forum for Health 2018, and the International Diabetes Federation panel discussion on diabetes and nutrition education.
