Muscat: A temperature of 46.1 degrees C. was recorded in the Sultanate's capital city Muscat yesterday, according to data released by the Public Authority for Civil Aviation's meteorology department.
In a post on Twitter, the authority said that Muscat had the highest temperature in Oman yesterday, May 13, followed closely by Suwaiq at 46 degrees Celcius.
On the other side of the scale, the village of Saiq in Jebel Akhdar had the lowest temperature in Oman at 19.8 degrees Celcius.
