National Bank of Oman opens its 60th branch

Muscat: In an effort to expand its vast network of financial outlets, the National Bank of Oman (NBO) opened its 60th branch in the Sultanate.
Under the patronage of Dr Hamoud bin Khalfan Al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for Teaching and Curricula and the presence of NBO’s senior management, the newest location is adjacent to the Ministry of Education (MOE), and will provide fully-fledged banking services to government/civil employees and customers who work and reside around Airport Heights.
John Chang, Chief Retail Officer at NBO said: “With a dedicated team of experts, and a wide range of premium products and services, NBO will continue to deliver top-class financial solutions across all its channels and platforms to enrich the banking experience of its customers. This latest addition to our network solidifies our position of being an integral member of our community; by serving an entity that contributes to the development of this country’s greatest asset: the Ministry of Education.”
He added: “NBO is heavily investing in improving the bank’s digital platform to serve the need for a rapid and convenient banking style. Nonetheless, we remain committed to staying connected to our customers in the traditional manner by extending our reach through our physical outlets. Human interaction remains to be the essential part of our banking DNA.”
To mark the occasion, NBO also hosted the monthly Al Kanz Savings draw. The bank rewarded a total of OMR25,000 each to four customers, OMR500 each to ten monthly salary transfer winners, and OMR100 each to three guests from the instant prizes.
The Ministry of Education branch is intended to serve Airport Heights customers and provide them with access to customised loans, long/short term deposits, opening accounts, ATM/CDM services, a wide array of value-added debit/credit cards, and tailored investment opportunities. The branch’s opening hours will be from 8am to 2pm.
