Muscat: Cloudy weather, fog and isolated showers have been predicted for parts of northern Oman, the Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) said in a statement on Wednesday morning.
While north Al Batinah witnessed isolated rain showers last night, fog and low clouds spread over the governorates of North and South Al Sharqiyah, Al Wusta and North Dhofar this morning. Low and medium clouds could also intensify and move on to other parts of the Sultanate, bringing with it chances of rain.
However, the rest of the Sultanate could witness mainly clear skies with chances of convective clouds developing over the Al Hajar Mountains and its adjoining areas. There’s a possibility of isolated thunder showers that may extend to the coastal areas in the afternoon.
“Muscat and Ibri will see temperatures of around 30 degrees Celsius and Sur will reach 34 degrees Celsius, while Salalah and Masirah will reach 28 degrees Celsius,” PACA said in its report.
