Muscat: The “Performance Enhancement” Conference, organised by the Ministry of Civil Service in cooperation with the “First Care” Company, started on Monday with the participation of more than 150 people from the public and private sectors from inside and outside the Sultanate.
The aim of the conference is to enhance awareness of performance management aspects, to provide the latest theories and practices in this field, and to explore the prospects of future governments and the pioneering shift to proficiency and its impact on strengthening functional behaviors that enhance performance.
The opening of the conference was sponsored by Sheikh Khalid bin Omar Al Marhoon, Minister of Civil Service.
The first day started with two main sessions, the first was entitled “Leadership: Strategic Player in Achieving the Success of the Institutions. The main topics included: “Visionary Leadership”, “Capital Development Efficiency” and “Latest Methodologies in Training of Competencies according to ADDIE. The second session entitled “Performance Measurement Tools” which are the basis for the development of the organisation and included many important themes, Key Performance Indicators - the long-term objectives of the organisation and the integration of the performance management system with human resources systems (outputs and inputs)
The conference was attended by a number of undersecretaries, and officials from inside and outside the Sultanate.
