Sultanate bags eight prizes at Arab Tourism Media awards

Muscat: The Sultanate won eight prizes at the tenth edition of the Arab Tourism Media Oscar awards for this year in line with the tourism and economical renaissance witnessed by the country. These prizes included that of Best Governmental Personality Supporting Arabian Tourism for the year 2017.
Sheikh Salim bin Ahmed Al Ghazali won the prize of the Best Investor Supporting Arabian Tourism for the year 2017 and the Ministry of Tourism won the prize of the Best Tourism Corporation that achieved growth in tourism sector.
The Public Authority of Radio and Television won the prize of the Best Arab Informational Corporation Supporting local and Arab Tourism for the
year 2017. Salam Air won the prize of the Best Aviation Supporting Arabian Tourism for the
year 2017.
The Public Authority of Radio and Television which won the prize of the Best Arab Informational corporation supporting local and Arab Tourism for the year 2017 and Oman Daily Arabic newspaper had won the prize of the Best Arab Newspaper for tourism coverings for the year 2017 Salalah Tourism Festival won the prize of the Best Arab Tourism Festival for the year 2017 and Muscat won the prize of the Best Arab Tourism City for the
year 2018. This was declared by Zurab Pololikashvili Secretary General of World Tourism Organisation during the activities of Berlin Bourassa 2018.
He also declared the winning of Princess Dana Faris from Jordan the title of Arab Heritage Personal, while Talib Al Rufaie, the former secretary General of World Tourism Organisation had won the title of the Tourism Personal of the Year.
Dr. Sultan Al Yahyie, the president of the Arab Centre of the Tourism Media emphasised that more than one and half million votes participated in selecting the winners though electronic voting while 187 competitors were participated from 14 Arab Countries for these awards.
