Muscat: Oman will host the first edition of the French Week, dedicated to Food and Hospitality, in Muscat from March 14 to 21. It is being organised by the French Embassy in association with several industry partners.
The event will be held in several different locations in Oman, including the Intercontinental Hotel and Bank Muscat.
“We expect this week to create awareness in Oman regarding French food and culture. It is very important to us. People can come and enjoy authentic French food. Everyone is welcome,” the French ambassador to Oman said.
French cuisine represents the epitome of fine dining all over the world, with Paris maintaining its position as the gastronomic capital. Thus, the first edition of the French Week in Muscat aims at promoting French food products and gastronomy in Oman and at highlighting the high-quality of training programmes in the hospitality sector.
On March 14, the French Week will be officially launched with an opening cocktail gathering of some 400 people and will conclude with the worldwide event “Goût de/Good France”, comprising a gastronomic dinner served at several places across Muscat.
During the entire week, people can enjoy French lunches and dinners all around Muscat and can benefit from many promotions and discounts on certain products and menus.
