Muscat: The 1st Royal Hospital International Conference will begin at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre this Saturday under the patronage of Sayyid Dr. Fahad bin Al Julanda Al Said, Assistant Secretary General for Innovation Development at The Research Council.
The three-day conference is being organised by the Ministry of Health (MoH) represented by the Directorate General of Royal Hospital in collaboration with the Oman Medical Specialties Board (OMSB) and the Oman Medical Association (OMA). The conference is the first of its kind in the Sultanate of its idea as a spectrum of conferences representing most of RH specialties.
The conference is expected to witness a wide range of local and international participations of more than 3500 participants representing medical and assistant medical categories from the RH, as well as Sultanate’s different health institutions, the private sector, and associations, in addition to participants from the GCC countries.
A total of 84 scientific sessions will be run by 228 prominent lecturers, medical and healthcare experts of the multidisciplinary specializations from Oman, GCC, and worldwide.
The 1st Royal Hospital International Conference will include the specialties of Anaesthesia, Critical Care, Child Health, Medical Laboratories (Microbiology, Biochemistry, Hematology, and Histopathology), Medicine, Genetics, Oncology, Nuclear Medicine, Nursing, Obstetrics & Gynaecology (Obs-Gynee), Pharmacy, Radiology, Surgery, Urology, and Emergency (ER).
The three-day conference will discuss plenty of specialized topics through 280 working papers and includes an accompanying exhibition of the pharmacy companies and medical equipment.
A number of three pre-conference workshops will be held on Friday. The first workshop concerned with Medical Physics, the second underlined Anaesthesia Ultrasound guided regional blocks, and the third focuses on Anaesthesia Bronchoscopy in critical care.
The conference aims to explore the latest advancements of the involved medical specialties, build up regional and international scientific expertise, in addition to viewing the innovative technology, drugs, and device of the pharmaceutical companies and medical equipment.
