Muscat Scouts, Guides panel wins first place

Muscat: Dr. Madiha bint Ahmed Al Shaibaniyah, Minister of Education announced the results of the Scouting and Guidance Excellence Award for His Majesty’s Cup for the academic year 2016/2017.
The Minister of Education said in a speech on this occasion that the march of scouting and guidance in the Sultanate has made great achievements at the regional, Arab and international levels, thanks to the high support accorded by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, the Greatest Scout of the Sultanate.
His Majesty gave the scout and guidance movement a strong push to develop its various programmes and activities. The Commission for Scouts and Guides of the Governorate of Muscat won the first place in Oman, thus winning the cup of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, followed by the Commission for Scouts and Guides of the Governorate of North Al Batinah in second place, then Commission for Scouts and Guides of the of the Governorate of A’Dakhliya in third place.
