Muscat: Indian School Al Ghubra organized a trip to Kenya during the winter break from 15th December to 22nd December 2017.
Thirteen students of classes 6 to 8 accompanied by their teacher Mrs. Rubina Khan had a memorable time experiencing the wildlife of Kenya up close and personal.
The highlight of the tour was their stay with the Masai Mara tribe which allowed them to catch a glimpse of their culture, tradition and way of life.
It made them appreciate the symbiotic relationship they share with Nature.
Their visit to Mount Kenya and Lake Elementaita gave them the opportunity to experience the beauty of Kenya in all its variety.
Their visit to the capital city of Nairobi exposed them to modern Kenya and its rapid march towards progress.
Overall the trip was an enjoyable and enlightening experience as these young students developed a sense of independence and self-reliance by being on an 8 daytrip without their parents.
They got an opportunity to develop soft skills which are important for their development as confident and resourceful individuals.
They were immensely grateful to their parents and the School Management for organizing this truly amazing educational tour to Kenya.
