Muscat: Passengers from Oman who are flying to Mumbai on Air India until the end of January can now take up to 50 kg of check-in baggage with them, the airline announced this morning.
In a statement, India’s national carrier said: “Air India increases free baggage allowance to 50 kg, in economy class and business class for all passengers travelling to Mumbai on tickets purchased effective 28th December, 2017, and travel until 31st January 2018.”
Passengers travelling to other domestic destinations from India are also eligible for this benefit. Special add-on fares are also available for passengers flying to Air India’s other domestic destinations, if they are flying through Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai and Hyderabad.
Air Indian operates 24 flights a week, with daily non-stop flights to Mumbai, Chennai and Delhi, in addition to thrice-weekly flights to Hyderabad and Bangalore.
