Muscat: The pilots of the SalamAir aircraft which is taking Oman’s fans to cheer on their team against Bahrain in the semi-finals of the Arab Gulf Cup of Nations have said their hearts are with Oman, ahead of the game.
“We are taking most of our flight to Kuwait to watch the match and support the Oman team,” said First Officer Ahmed Qazizada. “We hope, god willing, that Oman wins this match, and we are already proud of you guys."
His colleague, Captain Gurkamaljit Singh added, “Oman is playing the semi-final match against Bahrain. I wish both teams all the best, but my heart is with Oman, and I would like Oman to win this and progress and win the final.”
Oman play against Bahrain at 6:15 this evening, ahead of the second semi-final between Iraq and the UAE.
