Waljat College of Applied Sciences inks MoU with Apollo Hospital Muscat

Muscat: Waljat College of Applied Sciences (WCAS) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Apollo Hospital Muscat (AHM) recently.
The objective of this association is not just restricted to provide remedial measures to the staff and students of Waljat College, but it will also help to create a 360-degree health awareness programme among the residents of Oman as well.
For more than a decade, Apollo Hospitals Muscat, has been synonymous with quality healthcare with its advanced facilities and experienced team of consultants and specialists, whereas Waljat College of Applied Sciences has been a pioneer in providing international quality education in Oman that prepares the students for modern high-quality job by producing talents and bringing in best of the skills and experience available globally
The alliance ensures to set a benchmark by conducting periodic health checkups, workshops, lectures, seminars and awareness activities as per the Ministry of Health guidelines and other relevant government and regulations for supporting this noble cause.
The event of signing of the MoU was held on Apollo Hospital, Muscat premises between V. T. Saileswaran, managing director, Apollo Hospital Muscat, and Dr S. L. Gupta, Dean, Waljat College of Applied Sciences in the august presence of Zaid Khalifa Said Al Shekili, Admin & HR manager, Dr Vijaya P., head - Academic Coordination & Academic Support Services and RuwaiyaS alim Said Al Rabaani, Students Affairs manager.
The event marked a successful launch of this collaboration with the joint initiatives taken by Arbind Kumar Choudhary, chairperson, Health and Safety Committee and its members, Waljat College of Applied Sciences, Dr Dilip Singhvi, medical director, Apollo Hospital Muscat and Manoj Kumar R., Key Account manager – Marketing, Apollo Hospital, Muscat.
In a world, where everyone is struggling to have a healthy lifestyle, Waljat College of Sciences has agreed to partner and volunteer for the noble causes including charitable activities organised by Apollo Hospitals which would provide an opportunity to connect with the people of Oman and help address this issue on a larger scale.
According to Prof. Dr S L Gupta, dean, WCAS, “This MoU will strengthen the relationship between the WCAS and AHM for helping the community at large by creating awareness on the health-related issues.”
