Oman's Minister Responsible for Defence Affairs leaves for Saudi Arabia

Muscat: Assigned by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, Sayyid Badr bin Saud bin Harib Al Busaidi, Minister Responsible for Defence Affairs and his accompanying military delegation left here yesterday for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) to attend the conclusion of the military drill “North Thunder”, which will be run at King Khalid Military City today with the Sultanate’s participation. The delegation accompanying Sayyid Al Busaidi includes Lt.Gen Ahmed bin Harith Al Nabhani, Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF) and a number of senior SAF officers.
He and his accompanying delegation were seen off at Al Seeb Air Base by Air Vice- Marshal Mattar bin Ali Al Obaidani, Commander of the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO), KSA Ambassador to the Sultanate and a number of senior SAF officers.
It should be noted that SAF is taking part in the drill, as the Omani participating force arrived in KSA on February 14.
