More than 175 business leaders, senior executives, entrepreneurs and professionals gathered for Majlis Connect, a business networking evening presented by Asha Enterprises LLC, powered by The Diplomatic Club, AmCham Oman, British Business Forum Oman (BBF), INMECC and European Business Group (EBG).
Held on Wednesday, 28 October 2026, at The Diplomatic Club, Muscat, the event brought together members of these prominent business communities under one roof, creating an opportunity to connect, exchange ideas and build meaningful professional relationships.
Designed as an informal networking platform, Majlis Connect encouraged interaction among business leaders from different industries, nationalities and professional backgrounds. The evening provided an opportunity for participants to engage beyond their usual business circles, reconnect with familiar associates and establish new relationships that could lead to future collaborations.
The initiative reflected the shared vision of the participating organisations to strengthen business engagement, encourage cross-community collaboration and support a more connected business environment in Oman.
Reflecting on the initiative, Nitin Sapre, Group CEO of Asha Enterprises LLC, said:
"At Asha Enterprises, we believe that some of the most valuable business opportunities begin with a simple conversation. Our vision behind Majlis Connect was to bring together different business communities in one welcoming environment, where relationships can develop naturally and new opportunities can emerge. We are grateful to The Diplomatic Club, AmCham Oman, BBF, INMECC and EBG for their collaboration and enthusiastic support in making this gathering possible. We look forward to building on this successful first edition and bringing our business communities together again next year and for many years to come."
Charm Majolica, Director of The Diplomatic Club, commented:
“Majlis Connect reflects the true value of bringing diplomatic and business communities together. Through our valued strategic partnerships, we are proud to create opportunities for meaningful connections, stronger relationships and lasting collaboration that extend well beyond a single event.”
Rebecca Olson, CEO of AmCham Oman, said:
"One of the greatest strengths of Oman's business community is the diversity of its people and professional networks. Events like Majlis Connect create valuable opportunities for AmCham members to step outside their familiar circles, meet new people and discover potential business relationships. We are pleased to collaborate with our fellow business groups and Asha Enterprises in bringing these communities together."
Maggie Jeans OBE, Founder Director of British Business Forum Oman (BBF), added:
"Business networking is ultimately about people and the relationships we build. Bringing together members of different business groups creates opportunities for new conversations, fresh perspectives and stronger connections. Majlis Connect provided a wonderful setting for exactly that, and it is encouraging to see this spirit of collaboration among Oman's business groups."
Davis Kallukaran, Founder Director of INMECC and Managing Partner of Crowe Oman, stated:
"Bringing together different business networks creates an environment where ideas, experiences and opportunities can be shared across industries and markets. Such interactions are important in encouraging business partnerships, investment opportunities and stronger commercial relationships. Majlis Connect is a positive example of how collaborative initiatives can benefit the wider business community."
Nicole Bradbury, Co-Founder European Business Group (EBG), commented:
"European businesses value the opportunity to engage with the wider business community in Oman and develop relationships across different sectors. Majlis Connect offered an excellent opportunity for our members to interact with fellow business leaders, exchange perspectives and explore areas of mutual interest. We welcome initiatives that encourage greater cooperation between international business communities in the Sultanate."
The evening was complemented by a delightful selection of canapés served by Mumtaz Mahal Restaurant. The event was further supported by Europcar Oman & Bahrain as the Official Mobility Partner and Crowe Oman as the Auditing Partner.
Adding to the excitement was a raffle draw featuring a range of attractive prizes generously contributed by Europcar, Mumtaz Mahal, Asha Brand Works, The Omani Collection, The Majlis, WHSmith, Omani Corner and Souq of Oman. The raffle added a lively touch to the evening, with several lucky winners taking home prizes, courtesy of these valued contributors.
The strong turnout and enthusiastic participation throughout the evening demonstrated the value of bringing together diverse business communities through a shared networking platform.
The evening concluded on a positive note, with new connections established and existing relationships strengthened, reflecting the collective commitment of the participating organisations to fostering a more collaborative and interconnected business community in Oman.
Building on the success of its inaugural edition, Majlis Connect is set to return around the same time next year, with the ambition of establishing itself as an annual networking platform that continues to bring together Oman's diverse business communities, foster lasting relationships and create new opportunities for collaboration.
