Sayyid Badr meets British official in London

London: Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, met in the British capital, London, with Ed Miliband, Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs of the United Kingdom, within the framework of the state visit undertaken by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to the United Kingdom.

The two ministers reviewed the strategic dimension of Omani-British relations and the historical legacy and mutual interests on which they rest. They discussed ways to elevate the existing partnership and broaden its pathways in keeping with the aspirations of the two friendly countries.

The meeting also addressed the changes unfolding in the region, and the two sides affirmed the importance of continuing constructive dialogue and intensifying diplomatic endeavours in support of understanding, in creating the conditions to address challenges, and in reinforcing the foundations of security and stability.
