More than 60 women benefited from free mammogram screenings during a three-day community health initiative held from 11–13 October 2026 at The Diplomatic Club, Muscat, as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The campaign was jointly supported by Asha Enterprises LLC and Europcar Oman, in association with the Oman Cancer Association (OCA), and brought together strategic partners The Diplomatic Club Oman, American Chamber of Commerce in Oman (AmCham Oman), British Business Forum Oman (BBF), and Indo Gulf and Middle East Chamber of Commerce (INMECC), alongside Crowe as Auditing Partner and Mumtaz Mahal as Hospitality Partner.
Through this collective effort, the participating organisations sought to encourage women to prioritise their health, promote the importance of early detection and make essential breast cancer screening services more accessible to the community.
Building on the success of previous campaigns, the initiative reflects a sustained commitment to women's health and demonstrates how collaboration between healthcare organisations, businesses and community groups can translate awareness into meaningful action.
Dr. Wahid Ali Said Al Kharusi, President and Chairperson of the Oman Cancer Association (OCA), stated:
" Early detection-through repeated regular examination plays a vital role in improving breast cancer outcomes. By making mammogram screenings accessible and encouraging women to take that important first step, initiatives such as this help strengthen awareness and preventive healthcare within the community. We value the continued collaboration of our corporate and community partners."
Charm Majolica, Director of The Diplomatic Club, said:
“Giving back to our community is at the heart of what we stand for at The Diplomatic Club. Together with our valued strategic partner, we are proud to support breast cancer awareness and accessible screening, helping empower women through early detection. We believe meaningful partnerships should go beyond connections and create a lasting, positive impact on the lives of others.”
Rebecca Olson, CEO of AmCham Oman, commented:
"Strong business communities are built not only through commerce, but also through a shared commitment to the well-being of society. This initiative demonstrates how organisations can come together to deliver practical, measurable benefits to the community. We are pleased to continue supporting efforts that place women's health at the forefront."
Maggie Jeans, Director of British Business Forum Oman (BBF), added:
"Awareness can make a difference, but access to screening turns awareness into action. We are proud to support this initiative alongside our partners and encourage women to recognise the importance of regular health checks. Community well-being is a responsibility we all share."
Davis Kallukaran, Founder Director of INMECC and Crowe Oman, stated:
"Corporate responsibility goes beyond financial and business commitments. It is equally about investing in the health and welfare of the communities in which we operate. We are pleased to be associated with an initiative that promotes preventive healthcare and brings together organisations working towards a common purpose."
Nitin Sapre, Group CEO of Asha Enterprises LLC, commented:
"At Asha Enterprises and Europcar, we believe that business success carries a responsibility to contribute meaningfully to society. Healthcare awareness is an important part of that commitment. Through initiatives like these, we hope to encourage more women to prioritise their health and take proactive steps towards early detection. We are grateful to our partners for making this shared commitment possible."
The annual mammogram screening campaign is part of a broader commitment by the participating organisations to community welfare and social responsibility. For Europcar Oman & Bahrain, it also complements ongoing initiatives in healthcare, education, environmental sustainability and community development, efforts recently recognised with the Leadership in CSR in Car Rental Services Award at Shabiba Jawa'iz Basma 2026.
Beyond the number of women screened, the initiative highlights the importance of sustained partnerships in addressing community health needs. By bringing together the expertise of healthcare professionals and the collective support of the business community, the participating organisations continue to demonstrate how shared responsibility can create a meaningful and lasting impact.
Together, they reinforce a simple but powerful message: early detection matters, and collective action can make a difference.
